Typography Poster

In our first Process & Production workshop with Rob we were assigned to create a mock copy of Samuel James' poster for a concert. The image of the poster is below.

We then worked on creating a copy of this poster and then we were set the task of creating a simple typography poster of our own which demonstrated the manifesto which we had looked at the other day. We used In Design to create this. Mine is situated below.

Climate Reality Project - The World's Easiest Decision from Moth on Vimeo.

I have chosen this video (taken from Vimeo) for its simplistic yet incredibly effective style. I like the way that the animation is sort of scrolling through the story, it makes the piece almost interactive for the user. The images which have been generated are crisp and professional looking, and the colour scheme used throughout is different on each aspect of the piece but somehow they have managed to make it all similar. It is almost similar to the style of world known designer Paul Rand, who uses crisp cartoons with block colours in order to create pieces which are in his unique style.
